Rochdale Penalty

I was right behind the ref for the last penalty and i was jumping up for
a trip on lennoxs trailing leg as he was starting to go down from the push
by the defender.I thought the ref was right for that one.The others not so sure
but our first was definate handball but not deliberate though i have seen
these types given in the past.

couldn't see too well from the grandstand - wrong side, but on telly the defenders left arm seemed to shoot out at Lennox, with the pace he was going at, it was enough for him to go over, 'easy' or not, that is a pen in my book! Lennox could be a real penalty honeytrap running into the box like that :scarf:

Maybe so, but I think that if the roles had been reversed and that had been an argyle defender and an opposition attacker, we'd feel really hard done by.
That's why referee's jobs are so difficult, because their interpretation of the laws is their opinion, or their version of events, and as biased argyle fans sometimes its difficult to see their decisions objectively. I'm often guilty of that but i try and see it from the refs point of view as much as possible. For me, Lennox was not fouled, its a contact sport and he went down very easily. But it was a difficult decision, whereas the Rochdale penalty is just outrageous. The ref will be cringing when he sees it on tv.

Who'd be a ref eh?
