Creaming what he can out the game before he retires, can't blame the lad.

It'll be a good experience as well.

Win/win.

I hope he knows what he is doing, the league does not have a schedule yet, https://canpl.ca/article/commissioner-d ... 021-season the schedule was suppose to start on May 22md, but then they delayed it and announcement is suppose to be made on the 15th.

There are 8 teams in the CPL and they play each other 4 times, 2 at home and 2 away for a 28 game schedule. Season would probably end in October
Last year the whole season was cancelled but instead they played what they called the Island games, all teams assembled in Prince Edward Island and played one game against each other, then the top 4 teams had a playoff, so each team had a minimum of 7 games and a maximum of 9 games, all games were played over a month long tournament.

The team here in Ottawa is called Atletico Ottawa https://atleticoottawa.canpl.ca/ and is affiliated with Atlético de Madrid and the coach is Miguel Ángel Ferrer Martínez known as Mista

Atletico Ottawa have been training in Spain since the end of March and currently have 19 players on their roster.

Joe Mason finally made his debut for the Cavalry tonight coming on in the 79th minute in a 2-1 victory. After arriving in Canada he has been in a 14 day quarantine.
The CPL is operating in a bubble in Winnipeg with all teams playing each other once then they will start playing a regular schedule for the rest of the season and crowds will be allowed in.

I would have Joe Mason back tomorrow if possible as I believe it could give us more options up front and on the right hand side. If we are looking for a big target man then he’s not the option but if were looking for experience of this league and above, a goal scorer with natural ability and a good attitude then he could be the man. Please remember he didn’t ask to leave this club in those bad times but as before wages could be a stumbling block.

Confused as this took me to the start of this May 2021 thread rather than NEW.
Anyhow, no thanks!!

Saw him score last night as the Cavs beat Edmonton. He looked energetic and fit on a hot evening (near 30 degs?) plus perhaps some extra effort to overcome the slight altitude and smoky air until you get used to it (!) Service wasn't great in the first half but he got the equalizer fairly early in the 2nd. I have no idea how the standard relates to EFL but the games generally look skillful and relatively fast - maybe League 2 (?) Attrition of playing the longer English season would count against any older players I think - including Joe.

Mason scores again in the 89th min to even the scores at 2-2, This gives him 4 goals in the last 3 games, and 5 in 7 on the season.
