Why do people get so anxious over a couple of games? It's peculiar.

As I posted earlier in this thread. Just four scored in last 10 competitive League & Cup games, one of which was the penalty Saturday.

Hardly indicates that we are a free scoring team. Accept it's early days, but, we seem (once again) to be reliant on just a couple of players to hit the net. It's been said before, but, we need more goals from midfield and our defenders otherwise we only have Azaz and Hardie as goal threats

Maybe the new training ground could have a goal to shoot at by the downhill slope.

Miss and you have to run down the hill to retrieve it 😁

Time and time again we have good passages of play, get it out wide and cross it in, only to have no player in the box who even remotely looks like winning a header.

Better decision making & better composure

To many touches & to many rushed or poorly selected shots - we are only 2 games in but maybe this is an hangover from last season

Maybe if we get one on Saturday the floodgates will open - but the longer this goes on it will become a festering malaise which will probably effect the players who should be putting the ball in the onion bag

Because that was worryingly bad in terms of the forward options.
You can kind of see, if you've watched a lot of football, even in 3 games, that they look like a team that will struggle for goals.

But we didn't struggle for goals last season and we haven't lost a single player that we wouldn't want to lose. So we are as good as last year, and only better. There's no evidence to suggest we struggle for goals, any more or less than last season. Fans claiming that our formation change could be responsible, is laughable, and frankly clutching at straws. Not a single one of these people could put together a powerpoint with a detailed examination of how our current formation is likely to see us score less than last year. So until someone can produce something impressive with considerable data/research that suggests how we might be worse off, then it's based on nothing at present other than just short-term reactions to a game here, a game there. It's no different to a lad going to the gym for the first time in his life and complaining after that he's not built like Cristiano Ronaldo, and then deeming that a failure. Believe in the process. Play the long game. You can't win 46 games a year, scoring 3 goals per game. If after 15-20 games we continue to score 1, 1 & 0 continuously as we have done, then maybe it's time to consider that something is not right. But coming to panic conclusions after 3 games? We've played 2 top-end L1 sides in those 3 games, and a particularly awkward L1 side in the other. Give the process time to yield its potential.

The thing is that if we suddenly core 3 at the weekend - what will people in here actually say? I'm genuinely curious. Would they still say we have a problem? Or suddenly we're good? What would happen?

We didn't struggle for goals last season?!
We scored the joint least of any of the top ten at less than 1.5 per game and it looks like a continuation of being goal shy with one from open play in 270 mins.
I haven't claimed the formation change is responsible...I simply don't think the personnel are good enough. If Hardie doesn't have a reasonable season again then I'm scratching my head at who of the other 3 are going to chip in with 15 goals this season.

Schuey was getting very animated with his strikers on the touch line. This new formation doesn’t fit any striker we have the only person it suits in the whole team is Finn azaz and he isn’t even our player

Hope it is not the case on relying on 1 player (Finn Azaz) to pull the team together by their boot straps to get the win - we need all the players to be on the same hymn sheet

Yes it is early days & Schuey will no doubt be pulling is hair out - we just don' know how long it will take to click
