332-3 at tea. Normally you'd expect in test cricket teams to score 90-odd runs per session: sometimes a bit more, sometimes a bit less. But 160-odd? That's not test cricket.
It'll be interesting to see if a lot if this is down to the speed of the outfield and Pakistan score at a similar rate.

First time ever in Test cricket that four batsman have scored a hundred on the first day.
Simply incredible.
Root must feel he missed out. Stokes is now hitting out with Livingston to come.

If they had carried on at that rate and got the full 90 overs in they would have scored 607 in a day!
647 all out is a hell of an effort, especially in 101 overs. Going to have to bowl incredibly well to take 20 wickets on this pitch though.
