An unknown quantity. In the past we have signed the likes of Chadwick and Terry Austin from top tier clubs and they were no great shakes at this level. 4 goals in 16 league 2 appearances at 21 tells us very little but if Adams has had his eye on him for a year he must see something there.

The three signings so far are targets that Adams has been chasing for a while, we knew about Grant and we found out yesterday and today that Adams has been interested in Canavan and Ladapo for a while as well.
Dyson is another that Adams has wanted since last summer.

Taylor is number one in one available loan striker position. Without spending sums we don’t have you are not going to improve upon him.
Ladapo and possibly Dyson would realistically be two and three for this position, whilst not breaking the bank or being too peeved off at being on the bench.

Well a couple of points about that. Firstly Chadwick wasn't a complete flop. When he came back to us in League Two he was instrumental in preventing us dropping to non league. He simply wasn't a Championship level player worth the money we spent. Pulis liked him and he started in TP's 14th placed finish team, whereas Buzsaky was a bench warmer in that team. And secondly, being voted a young player of the season shows consistency over months and months, not just one good goal in one good performance. To do that on loan when fans have soft spots for their own is even more impressive. It's like fans of Zak Vyner's next club being unimpressed with his young player of the season award here and putting it down to a few decent performances, when he was consistently good and well worth a return next season.
No he wasn't. He was no world beater but he was an honest whole hearted player who got a lot of unjustified flak when we went thru' a bad spell at the end of our 'golden era' - which wasn't his fault. I recall him scoring a well taken winner at the Stadium of Light when we were flying and also recall joining the rest of HP to give him a standing ovation one night when he ran his socks off.
