If we do get him back I don't understand why we signed Burgoyne in first place.

If you read the article and the various posts you will gather that Matthews was seen as a contender for the No.1 spot at Norwich and therefore not available. A poor pre-season has led them to sign Krul and Matthews has dropped to third in line - hence he may now be available for loan.

That would be helpful. Signing a player who has had a poor pre season.

Who would you like to see as our main keeper this season? How has their pre-season gone so far?

Sorry think you have mistaken me for Derek Adams

Because we wanted a decent keeper who was fit and didn't have a broken ankle presumably. So he could play in the matches.

Argyle sound out Norwich about a loan deal for Remi Matthews

Not sure why in recent articles from Herald paragraphs are duplicated. It has again here. Perhaps posting on here will alert them as they get so much material from here :)

But now Adams tells the Herald that signing Matthews is not a possibility.
No, I don’t see him being a possibility.

It seems, from the Herald article, that we do have to keep paying for our crocked #1

Why wouldn't we have to keep paying him?

I thought medical insurances cover these situations somewhat?

Well he’s our player for the season why wouldn’t we pay him unless Wolves had agreed to lend him and pay his salary

Some season long loan deals include the option of ending the arrangmemt in January. I wonder if that would be the case with Burgoyne ?

I include that within us paying him - if applicable it would be our medical insurance.

Out of Letheren and Cooper I think Coops stands out. The only thing that goes against him is his age and I've never seen that has a problem.

My only worry with Cooper is his height & therefore aerial dominance. It’s hard to deny that keepers are adapting and getting taller & broader in the modern game.

he's still growing

I doubt he’s going to get much bigger in the next 7 days.
