May be wrong here, Steve, but I believe you've said you work in retail? Is everything in your shop so reasonably priced? How on earth do you make any money?
i make my money by selling at the correct price, anybody can sell cheap, you have to have a good mark up for yourself otherwise you are out of business.i will not charge you for this consultancy just this once.

For his current offering, I think we’d be far better suited to either Hardie alongside Ennis or dripping the second striker and player an extra man in midfield

Just wonder Tuggers if that is the shape that will be employed at Rotherham with Broom playing off Ennis.

Yeah possibly but you’d have thought RL may have tried that formation for 45 minutes yesterday. We’ve got 3 good players in Broom, Mayor and Cooper who can play in that advanced free role between midfield and CF

:ROFLMAO: He doesn't. Not had a customer in years but antique sales are slow burners

What to do about Jephcott? We're painfully short on strikers so we do need him.
His confidence is shot to pieces, he has scored two goals during the pre-season games - a header from a corner and a penalty - and it hasn't given him any confidence.
He was unlucky against Torquay in that two goal bound shots were blocked.

He needs to score the winner against Rotherham. 👍

Surprised at some of the negativity after a 3 nil routine win to round off a positive pre season.

So for balance, here are some comments from Torquay's forum:
I thought we looked quite tired and sluggish (not surprising, to be fair) and Plymouth looked very good. They were so quick to the ball.
Their defence was good and we struggled to make any clear chances
Plymouth were different class as they should be however i expected us to at least compete.
Luckily for us Argyle took their foot off the gas otherwise we could have lost 10 -0 which would have been considerably embarrassing.
I thought we'd be more competitive but Plymouth were just too good.

Can someone remind me how we got on against Liverpool in the FA cup a couple of seasons ago? I’m sure they were two divisions above us and this was a competitive pair of games. Hey ho let’s join the pessimists and look forward to another dire season.

I often agree with much of what you say BG but I think your negativity this pre season has been somewhat OTT. I think we’ve been competitive and I think any issues from last season have largely been addressed.

Am not being negative re pre season just giving balance. I have seen very little of the games. Dont do psf. My point IS there are no grounds for either optimism or pessimism in such games. Moreover lets definitely not read anything in to beating a team 2 leagues below who are at a much earlier stage of their own pre season. Why dress it up as something different?
