That's a good result.
It would it have been much better if Barnet had won, but 1 point to Hereford is hell a lot better than them getting an away win.

To catch us they now need at least two wins and a draw out their next 3 games- which include Torquay and Crawley. They also need to get a better goal difference than us (we are +9 ahead as of Friday night). It's going to be very difficult for them to catch us now.

Losing without getting hammered at Swindon would as good as an extra point- goal difference is important. We are only +5 ahead of Macclesfield and they have easier fixtures- Crewe, Bradford, Burton (plus Southend who might be stuck in the playoffs by the last game of the season in which case they may put out a weaker team).

Just got back. Quick Synopsis as I have got to get up for work at 6am.

Barnet can count themselves unlucky really, they had three shots in the 2nd half when on top which were the width of a cigarette paper of going in. Hereford (Delroy Facey?) had 2 glorious chances...both when clean through. It looked like the first one was a clear open goal and the 2nd was a heart in mouth clearance off the line.
McLeod was the best player on the pitch by far, too often though he was left isolated and he seemingly had 3 defenders hanging on his shirt. He is very good with the ball at his feet so you wonder why Sanchez persists with his brand of route one football.
Atmosphere was surprisingly good. I was stood right by Hereford fans. Lots and lots of jokes about the Welsh. The Friday night switch has obviously brought in the Arsenal/Watford/Spurs fans who would have otherwise been at their respective stadiums or parked infront of Skysports at home.
Barnet have got some tough fixtures now Southend (a), Wimbledon (h) and Burton (a). I think they have enough to stay up.

so.............in all how good?????
In simple terms, as Andrew said we win tomorrow and Macclesfield lose we're mathematically safe. Not only that but we'll be peeing on Swindon's parade and they'll have to wait to party.

Even if we win and Macclesfield draw we're safe.

If we gain either 2 or 3 points on them tomorrow, that's us there.

FT 1-1

A draw is a good result as it keeps both teams further away from us and hopefully puts us that little bit closer to survival what it does mean is that Hereford will need 7 points from 9 in the last 3 to catch us up which should just about secure our place ahead of them so we need just one more team to be in that situation now to secure it :scarf:
