Exactly. Look at the back four under Luggy mark 1. David Worrell and McGlinchey were no world beaters. But that defence kept clean sheet after clean sheet, because they were organised.

This is what I’m starting to think.

Last season we had real quality in Bradley, Threlkeld and Vyner (ok he was on loan), in a defence that didn’t need too much coaching. The current back four lack confidence - standing off, not attacking the ball in the air. We have to rebuild this defence before it’s too late.

Guess you have to consider the Brewster influence ,after he left the end of last season results tailed off and we start this year in a similar manner . I accept other issues this season ( new signings not good enough or not coming together as a team and injuries ) but 3 goals conceded from set pieces does point the finger at either the coaching or the players do not respect the ex players in Wotts and Nanks enough to listen and follow their direction
