Jephcott is not fit enough to wear the shirt. Came on at half time, rarely broke into a jog, no pressing, barely ventured 20 yards either side of halfway, no influence and weakened an already depleted team. Meanwhile the lads who’d played 90 were still battling for their pride to the final whistle …

Willo has took a turn for the worst looks outclassed so far this season. But I’ve never seen our defence look so poor since canavan and wotton era

I know we had a man sent off but conceding 5 is never acceptable, particularly against a team you finished above in the league last season. All the more frustrating that our levels were so, so low tonight when on Saturday they were so high. Chalk and cheese.
Do not worry, this game will be forgotten when we finish in the top 6 at the end of the season!!

What is Gillesphey doing? He’s having a mare

Gillespheys 1st 45 min performance was up there for one of the worst I’ve seen from an Argyle player imo.

We seen the type of defending in league one for two years.

Whether it was a Opoku, Watts, Aimson to Wilson, Scarr & Gillesphy.

Whether it was 5-0 at Fleetwood or 5-1 tonight. The effort has always been there.

The players can’t figure out when to play out from the back and when not too. You simply need to sense the danger. And lm including Cooper in this too. He simply doesn’t recognise when to knock it long if danger is about.

I don’t think we played poorly. We just lost control of this match via poor decision making. That is where we are as club. Two years ago we blamed it young, experienced players. Today we are blaming experienced league one defenders. Unfortunately, we will keep giving teams chances by our poor decision making.

As an attacking unit l think the set up is looking better. Yet the lack of consistency with a cutting edge is again because of overall quality.

6 points out of 12 is OK. We played well in two. Lost badly in two. I think in both away games we showed glimpses of good things but l when your coming up against these bigger budgeted teams and you gift wrap chances you will be punished.

Stockley was their spearhead tonight. That is what Argyle lack as the single forward. Someone for the team to play off. Unfortunately, we can’t afford that calibre of player at this minute.

I feel there Is nothing to be too down hearted about. Just have to be realistic that if we continue to play this way more nights like tonight will happen because the players are being asked to go things that their skill set can’t do consistently.

That first half was probably the single sloppiest most unprofessional half of football I've ever seen from Argyle.
I really mean that...I've seen worse players play worse for Argyle, but through lack of ability not through lackadaisical, slapdash, careless play like tonight's first 45.
All three of the Charlton goals involved Argyle players giving the ball away cheaply at some point.
The first and second were actually laughably bad bits of slapstick.
I don't let Cooper off either .. what's he trying to do lobbing the ball to his defender and setting them up to have the ball taken off them?
I maintain that I don't actually think Charlton were that good which is the worrying thing! First half they just had to wait for Argyle's inevitable coughing up of the ball.
All 3 starting centre backs had woeful woeful games. Bullied by Stockley and gave the ball away so so badly. It's a shame Bolton isn't fit because I'd have been tempted to bench all 3 and go with Galloway, Lonwijk and Bolton after that inept, embarrassing showing. In fact is there an academy player who can come in?
Good goal by Whitaker the only bright point, but really after that Charlton just woke up and in the end could and should have probably put 7 or 8 past us in the end.

Regular repeats will not be accepted. Let's hope its a one off

Well they been having defensively poor for last two years. So looks like the club won’t be changing its philosophy anytime soon.

Only have to go back to 3-3 at Fleetwood last season with 11 players.

We don’t have the players to play our 3ATB style and not look vulnerable.

The only good thing about today is that Galloway looks fit and well from the short time he has been on. He looks good.

Galloway looked very impressive, pace when needed, great positional play, didn’t let his opponent get past him, made some timely interceptions and passed the ball cleanly.

Hope he starts at LCB on Saturday.

I know football is only a game but the players should feel utterly embarrassed for that shower.

They did nothing right and were far to over confident and cocky from last Saturday.

Charlton didn’t have to do much, we rolled over and handed them the match.

An inept and cowardly performance and wholesale changes are needed for Saturday.

Try to remain level headed after a defeat but oh my god what on earth was that?

Also why when we got our goal did we decide to just not lay a glove on them whilst having the momentum on our side? Argyle took the pee tonight and not in a positive way.
