Don't see why he'd leave a club that is going places and where he's settled and an important part of the team to leave for a club with a three sided ground and no huge prospects of going anywhere.

Amazed that so many people regard transfermarkt as accurate - it so often isn't. I think it's likely Hardie is in his final year, but what sources like this don't state is whether there is an option for an additional year - as there has been in many recent player contracts.
Agreed. It's a bunch of mainly German volunteers who are having a bit of fun by making guesses about transfer value, this line from the following article is particularly relevant:

On average, Transfermarkt’s estimated market value differs by some 60 percent from a player’s actual transfer fee

No wonder they have next to no idea about the reality of League one.

My understanding - which may be completely incorrect of course - is that they are usually correct on contract length, but they player valuations are a guess.

EDIT: fair point on options for extension

We need to be more savy about letting so many players go into the season with a year on their deals.

I would hazard a guess that the players with one year left actually have two due to having extension clauses in them which we will trigger before too long.
Cooper and Hardie are probably our biggest assets in terms of transfer fees, it's highly unlikely in my opinion that are playing knowing they only have a year left with no extension!

I wouldn’t begrudge Hardie for moving for better wages (he has a toddler) but I could only see him leaving for a club up north or even an SPL team.

When he signed in January 2021 the BBC report said it was a 2.5 year contract so it will expire next June.

The Oxford fans think we've turned down a big offer for Hardie.

Don’t understand why we would be talking about a rumoured bid from oxford, for our top scorer, at this time.

We should be starting a rumour about Argyle bidding for oxford’s best player- have you heard we’ve made a massive bid for James Henry 😉?

We’re a club on the up, with an excellent chairman and directors. Things are going great. The footballs fantastic.

The players are obviously enjoying their football, and were enjoying watching them. There’s a real feel-good feeling around the club. Good to see.

There must be loads of players right now who would “ walk to Plymouth to sign for the club”- as our famous no 9 said, back in the day.

I think our management team and directors are a lot more canny than people may think, about contract issues.

All clubs will have players out of contract at the end of the season.... but it’s other clubs, in my opinion, who should be worried about losing their players to us....

I think it's a real positive post.

A rival have allegedly put a large bid in for one of or players and we've told them to 'do one'.

IF true of course.
