That's potentially a couple of big games for us to look forward too.

I never look forward to playing them. Going there is just a dreadful experience, and they never even come close to selling out the Barn Park when they come here. Just a meh fixture with a lot of unnecessary pressure.

I want to see us playing Bristol City, Cardiff, Birmingham etc next season.

You have to give them credit for finally figuring out that they can't win at Wembley and so have to do it the other way. They could still be champions having been 18 points behind FGR at one point. If we deserve to be where we are, then they deserve to be where they are too.

Chuffed for a few mates of mine, I've always had sympathy for them (my pals) as they have to support that lot.

To be fair, it's not quite so bad when they come up to us rather than us having to come down to them, at least they deserve to play us by being promoted.

However their aspirations are lower than us, and now we've effectively removed their Academy supply their fanbase won't afford them to compete at League One level.

Just imagine if Derby County fans haven't had enough trauma they'll have to travel to Exeter and FGR during next season.

They'll be expecting a quick trip to FGR, they won't know it'll take hours to get away from the stadium.

That "ground" is unfit for purpose. How that was allowed into the EFL is beyond me.

It's not good for Devon and Cornwall to have Exeter this high up the league. Argyle are the region's only hope of top flight football and it would be best if we had the whole of both counties behind us.

Exeter in the same division confuses the issue. Well done to them, and I do acknowledge that a probable sell out game and reduced aggregate travelling time have some benefits for us, but on balance it would be best if they go straight back down.

I think the optimum arrangement would be for Exeter and Torquay to be in the upper echelons of the non league game and a welcome host for loan Argyle players, with a friendlier rivalry between the three teams. If and when Argyle can establish ourselves in the Championship, it might be possible to support another club in league football without harming football in Devon and Cornwall as a whole.

I have to admit to being a Kim philby type as I do go to some of their games from time- to- time

Seriously though, if anybody thinks that this is going to be an easy six points- think again

I think it’s going to be a tough season ahead for them- but good to see them in competitive action against Argyle once more

city being promoted is great for west country football and if we are div 1 next season two derby games.

also shows what is possible with a fan own club living within its means and no sugar daddy or bank overdraft to overspend on.

an example to all clubs and i am sure the new govt review of fan engagement in running football will be looking closely at true success stories like exeter.
