One of the best we've seen. But then it was a game without anything too dramatic happening. Definitely would have him ref another of our games.

Hopefully he isn't tainted by the more experienced, less talented refs we've have before

Don't normally comment about the ref.

Hardly noticed him which is often a good thing. Good, strong decisions for both teams and not overly fussy.

Unfussy, he appeared to be explaining decisions to players rather than lecturing like most do. A little lax on the position of throw ins but generally very good. 9/10.

I gave him a 9 I thought he was excellent.

Only took a mark off because he was a bit picky at where people had to take free kicks from when it didn't really matter (ie in the defensive half)

V impressed fair play to him.

Good. Talked to players which is recommended tbh.
Vast contribution from them not practicing the black arts. Means he controlled the game but means they are rock bottom which gives pause for thought.

Maybe but I like to think not. I wrote to the FA four or five years ago praising a ref we had in a home defeat to Chesterfield - he even waved away a penalty claim by us. They acknowledged the positive comments and said they would be passed on to his 'mentor'. He is called Graham Scott and is now on the PL panel so perhaps this chap will get there too.

Partisan we may be, but we can see good ref when/if we get one
