Ok so people want fletch out, Im in two minds about it, but you have to think, who would come down here and give it a go,

Are you kidding? Despite the sh*te of the past 4 years, we would remain one of the most attractive managerial posts in the lower leagues - paradoxically, even more so due to our current league position. A prospective manager would look at Argyle and think it's eminently possible to get us to our 'usual' position at the top of the 3rd tier, whereas it might be less easy kicking us on if we were at that position into the Championship.

There can be no excuse for not changing the manager which centres around 'not enough suitable candidates in the market'.

Choosing the right one is another matter but it's time to call the headhunters in.

Who would make the decision on a new manager? Interviews etc?

The man in charge who has no football knowledge?

There are recruiters out there for every industry specialism....and we do have one director on board with some knowledge of running a football club successfully (I don't mean Ian Newell).

All credit to Flecther for having us avoid relegation last season. But this isn't working. Like Chadwick, he came in to do a job and he did it. (Why we re-signed him god knows.) But it's time for a new manager. I would love to see Keith Hill take the reins but I would hate to see Colin Lee.

Forget about Keith Hill, if he gets fired he'll be holding out for a job in the north.
Unlikely to be able to attract Cotterill or Burley.

Would Alan Irvine be interested? I reckon he'd do a good job.

Don't understand what the problem with Colin Lee is.

That said, I'd be fairly happy with Lee Hodges. In interviews he displays a certain steel and focus, he looks the part, plus has experience in management.

Chris Hargreaves would jump at the chance but I believe there are stronger candidates.

Timing is everything - the time to change has long gone!! With all the other things coming out of HP there's problably no cash to do anything now - I think he will keep him, even if the crowds drop below 4k!! The players themselves must be glancing at each other and wondering what their next moves are!!

I think the players should be more than glancing at each other, at the end of the day it's up to them. Once they're on that pitch they've got to put the game-plan into motion. I think they are the ones who are lacking and frankly I don't think it's about motivation either.
I've noticed whenever they score they're slowly moving back deeper into their own half and of course they're inviting the opposition onto them. Where Fletch is lacking is not ordering them back up the field. Sometimes he seems a little oblivious to it and just looks a little resigned to the situation. Don't think it's tactics, think it's more passion and that's something you can't really instil.
We as fans have passion and that's why many of us are peeved with the situation and want to see change, although in reality it's change on the pitch we want to see.
I know Fletch has made some mistakes concerning personnel he's retained, but he is working with a limited budget like most L2 clubs and I do believe he will come good in the end and I think a man like James Brent who has hired many workers over the years for specific jobs knows a doozy when he sees one. He obviously sees something in Fletch that some on here cannot see and I don't think it's about money either, because he sees into the longterm and this like every other is a business and relegation would harm that business.

Why does no one mention Steve Cotterill? West country lad, has done a good job with limited funds in the past at various places and the Forest job was maybe one step too far for him..

...or prise Gary Johnson away from Yeovil...what he's done there, twice, with no money, is amazing and he seems to like South West Clubs and does well at them!!
