Can we play you every week.

I heard someone in the corner of Lyndhurst and Devonport sing this while we were getting beat and bottom of the league. Made me chuckle.

I was thinking about which songs were regularly heard in the past but have disappeared off the scene...... I'm sure there are plenty and I'll start off with this one .... I think it went like this ..

Argyle score Argyle Score
'cause if you get one you'll get more
We'll sing you [assembly?] if we get to Wembley
So Score Argyle Score

to tune of "Bless em all by George Formby.

Anyone got any "printable" others !

I like the black humour – when we are doing particularly cr@p and then take a lead the “How poo must you be? “ song always makes me smile.

My favourite was back in the Championship days when Rupert Lowe was chairman of Southampton and hated by saints fans – he’d just brought in the England Rugby coach to advise Harry Redknap (much to ‘arry’s disgust). So both sets of fans joined in when the Demport sang (to the tune of ‘sweet chariot’) ….
“Swing Lowe…..Swing Rupert Lowe, …Swing him from the Tamar Bridge !”

Also when playing one of the south coast teams “Dirty Northern B****dS” always makes me smile.

A one off, but I remember it well - "Who's the Easter Egg in goal?"

Argyle fans to Bristol City 'keeper John Shaw, Good Friday 1985 (look him up, you young 'uns!). Argyle won 1-0.

His name is Mike Bickle
He's the forward of the team
He's the greatest centre forward
The world has ever seen
He can always be relied upon to score the vital goal
And as for Jimmy Dunne you can stick him up yer 'ole!
La la la, la la la la la!
