Torquay much the better side. Fletcher and Lolos very lightweight up top. Although when Lolos drops deep, he’s influencing the game. Smith-Brown getting skinned every time by number 20. Having a very poor game. I don’t see where Joel Grant fits in to this system. Passing range isn’t good enough to play in the centre.
I think it's telling that none of the Bury boys are starting tonight. Would seem RL is still trying to find out who will fit and who needs to go among the lads he inherited.
Yep we are not playing well and their forwards are electric. Should've had a pen too. They are way more cohesive good goal by Lolos tbf
Peck got torn a new one. Smith Brown looks way to slow for this system Edwards looks good as does Riley. All in all pretty entertaining but we would not win many with this team. The new goalkeeper looks the part.

The pace and movement up front by Torquay is causing us big problems, a better team would have scored more. Palmer made a good save in a one on one situation.
If one of our attacking moves break down Torquay are right at our three centre-backs with ease, we are too open in midfield.
Fletcher is not strong enough, Smith-Brown gets into some good positions and then plays the ball backwards.
On the plus side Lolos looks a real player, coming short to link up play and scored a great individual goal from long range.
The 3 centre-backs and Edwards saw a lot of the ball, the play is to feet and pass and move, it's rare to see a long ball.
A good work out.
The organisation from Torquay at the turnstiles is a shambles!

Lady steward (no.74) stopped (5 mins before kick off) argyle fans sitting in half empty block (despite numerous argyle fans in shirts sitting in the block) 15 mins before half time bedlam as half the crowd asked to move 6 rows across to accommodate the argyle fans that Torquay had squeezed into an already jam packed end

So RL is finding out why we came to be relegated and why if left to their own devices would see us drop through league 2 into the national league. Can’t have been too much of a surprise that the only players from last season showing any interest had little interaction with the first team.
