Just for the record I am not part of the ‘Fletcher out’ campaign (one of the reasons being the lack of credible alternatives suggested). But I’m not religious about it either and my patience has certainly been tested and don’t see the harm in idle speculation about possible replacements.
Breaker is certainly one of the better suggestions I’ve heard. Good contacts in the game, extensive management experience (if only as assistant) and according to Wiki has a UEFA pro A coaching licence – I’ve no idea what that means but it sounds good. Another very big tick in the box is that he knows this club and environment well. Southgate? Sorry but I’ll file that under ‘other barking mad suggestions’ - we wouldn’t have a cat-in-Hell’s-chance of getting him and wouldn’t want him anyway – he knows sod all about this league, or us and his only foray into management wasn’t exactly impressive.
