The ticket pricing deals for the Aldershot game helped increase the gate, but what benefits are the Season Ticket holders and pensoners getting. We put money in the buckets and paid towards the buses throught out the crisis and buy half time draw tickets, all because we support the club, but it would be nice to be considered once in a while.

Are you saying that pay on the day fans have gained a greater aggregate of discounts than what season ticket holders got on buying before the season started?

Just as I thought. The cheapest way to see all Argyle home matches was with a season ticket. So what exactly is the OP complaining about?

That he didnt get a reward/special price deal because he bought a season ticket at the start of the season when the club needed its money i think...

However he hd the option too bring friends along for a tenner (If over 25) so thats a nice thing isnt it?

The club want as many season ticket holders as possible to assist cash flow during the summer, do they not. Notwithstanding the benefit of a regular seat and priority for tickets etc, with all the special offers on, during the course of a season, it may only need a season ticket holder to miss one or two games to make it cheaper for said season ticket holder to just pay on the day and take the deals, thus resulting in less season ticket holders the following season.

It's a tricky one as the arguments on both sides are valid but a fine balance must be struck to keep everyone happy.

Season Ticket holders also got priority for tickets in the Cup.

Admittedly, Stourbridge just felt like more punishment for being loyal, but who knows, maybe next season we reach the second round of League Cup; third round of FA Cup and get to Wembley for JPT.

Season tickets are normally equal to around six or seven free matches if bought at the cheapest price available, which at most clubs is before the end of the previous season. The days when season ticket income sees a club through the summer are long gone. The summer expenditure apart from players wages which should be covered within the annual budget, comes in through events and promotions such as Player of the Year Awards evenings and other off field commercial stuff. Clubs can't just rely on matchday income these days.

Saying that, this is in a perfect world which we know is not the norm within football. So many clubs can't get it right as we know and spend way too much more than they can really afford.

how true you are cabbie and we don't normally agree also some of these season ticket holders have the front to want to pay in 10 instalments interest free so how the hell does that benefit the club.

My lot have got that sorted. You get 10 months interest free but start paying from when season tickets go on sale in November. Fans have then actually paid for it in full by the time they can start using it.

If you have a season ticket you will notice that you dont actually pay PAFC with your monthly direct debit ............you pay an independant finance company .....

The finance company pay Argyle the season ticket fee in full and in turn PAFC and the company agree an "Admin fee"

Thats how argyle benefit

Any football club NEEDS it's Season Ticket holders, they want your money UPFRONT (in meercat language) - simple!!

If clubs do not give a supporter the incentive to become a ST holder, then it's the club who dips out - simple.

If the ST holder judges that during the season his/her incentives are being eroded through 'special offers', he/she will think twice before renewing their ST - simple.

i know football clubs need season ticket holders but what p....s me off is that some of them think that gives them some god given right to other discounts and benefits well f..k that when most are only doing it anyway to save money SIMPLE.and yes i have been a season ticket holder in the past and it was to save money.SIMPLE.
