It'll be under the roof overhang.

So is what's there now the full extent of the roof or is there a further section to be added on to the eastern end over the steps and white refreshment area?

Judging by the GoS pictures, which show the side cladding rails inside the old kiosk, I suspect the roof ends where the pillars do.

They weren't curved - that was a webcam distortion. They were just some of the beams that went from front to back.
