The Richest Game in Football

It's a funny one this. We were only playing Brentford a few years ago (actually 9, fudge....), so it's galling to see them on the cusp of the Prem. That said, we were on the same level as Fulham for years until Al Fayed came along, and as time has passed they feel on a different planet than us.

Brentford for me, I think.

Where is all their money from?

I find it interesting that despite being an established championship club with Prem ambitions, they’ve gone for a17,000 seater stadium. Proves that bums on seats is not the big revenue generator compared to Tv if you’re a smaller club.
Sharing with the egg-chasers must help with the costs, plus they have abandoned any thought of an academy.

0-0 FT

0-2 in ET time added Brilliant first goal for Fulham, superb free kick.
Both goals from Joe Bryan, we taught him well. :)

I imagine Exeter would have got some £££ if Ollie Watkins has made it to the PL too??

I’m sure he’ll make it in the bit too distant future.

Fulham probably more we’ll prepared for the PL but Brentford were exciting to watch this year.

I’m sure they said last night that their squad cost £30m. Big step up from L1!

Ollie Watkins likely to move now. Has a £18m release clause if Brentford didn't reach Premier League.
Villa, Leeds and West Ham are all after him with the Birmingham Mail saying Villa are favourites to land him.
