Some idiotic comments on Plymouth Live as usual, it's arguable that Jack Leslie would deserve a statue for 401 games and 137 goals even without being the pioneer he was.

Not really - Sammy Black made 491 appearances (second behind Kevin Hodges) and scored 182 goals (1st in Argyle history)

I agree. I wasn't around at the time but Jack was one of our best players as we established ourselves in the Football league (as was Sammy). To have a statue to represent that generation of players and every other player who has put on the green shirt is going to be great. In addition, of course, Jack did acheive a lot besides which should also be rightly celebrated.
