Interesting piece in today's Telegraph Sport where they report that Daniel Levy, after years of indifference to investing in Data and Analytics, has now made it an investment priority to inform incoming transfers.
If Levy was the Project Manager for the stadium, with that he did an outstanding job. With almost everything else he appears to be a ditherer, adopting a cost-based and indicisive approach to every decision. I've lost count of the number of really good players who were happy to go there but he wasn't prepared to pay the asking price. They then had to settle for players from the next level.
Did Levy personally insist on their cheese tasting room at the new stadium I wonder? That’s what we need to get us in the Prem. I’m preparing a petition to send to the Hallets.
