It was specifically this season that I was referring to Tony but I accept your points.
The thing is, if Fletch is "poached" in the early part of the closed season then there will also be a glut of other unemployed managers available, whose services have been dispensed with by short-sighted, short-termist football club owners.
If, as JB alludes to, we have, in L2 terms, a megabudget to play with, why not push the boat out a little bit with the best that we can afford at that time?

Only 33/1 for Carl, Big Fletch is on 20/1! Seems a lot of people have been speculating on their caretaker to get it.
If you are looking for a good, young, up-and-coming manager i can highly recommend Marcus Law. He is a man that will coach/manage at a high level one day. Good coach, good man manager, good tactically, good motivator. He has the passion, the drive and the determination to be a major success in the game - outstanding managerial prospect.
