Always thought it was a bad idea when they stopped playing FA cup semis at neutral club grounds .. Sort of devalues the competition in a way
Yeah ridiculous to ask fans to travel to Wembley for a semi final it should be kept for the final to add to the occasion. Plenty of really good stadiums to choose from
Disappointing attendance but in these financially stretched times for fans, it is understandable, especially for City fans with so many games in their schedule right now. Many will have to choose which ones to attend.
Should semis still be played at neutral venues? There still aren't many stadiums that could accommodate 63,000 with an equal split of segregation. The kick-off time didn't help either. Give supporters a fighting chance of getting there and home again on the day. Hotel prices in London this weekend were through the roof what with two FA Cup games and the London Marathon happening in the capital.

Brighton isn't that far from London and a large percentage of Man Utd's support would have come from Surrey/London/the south anyway. With it being marathon day as well I imagine hotels would have been booked out months ago.
I guess the FA are still trying to pay off Wembley. And they can make much more money from their own corporate facilities than using Tottenham's or Man Utd's.
Well they're very loyal fans then, because tickets went to season ticket holders who stand at over 50,000 at United. So if they travel north every other week they deserved the short trip to Wembley.
