Now left Charlton.

It's bad news for us. The Charlton team were a mess under Robinson but may now get a boost under a new manager, even a caretaker manager for Saturday.

They will be playing for their places/future contracts with a clean slate with a new manager. Could spell danger if they raise their game 10%

Then again the word 'rudderless' could be applied. As you know Sam it's far better to be positive. Then again......................

Charlton have won only 3 games of football since November, so that would imply they were already rudderless under that scouse idiot.

Director Richard Murray said: “I’d like to place on record our thanks to Karl Robinson who has worked tirelessly during his time at Charlton. The club and Karl came to an agreement that is best for everyone involved."

I ask this quite genuinely... is there some sort of legal obligation to use the phrase 'place on record' for every single departure in football?

At the end of the day, he gave 110%, and I like to place this on record---football is largely about cliches :)

When we last played Charlton at The Valley in 2011 it was Chris Powell's first game in charge, we lost 2-0.

Another ex-player has taken over, I'm starting to get feelings of deja vu...

I'd like to place on record that I would prefer it if Robinson was still there. Believe he's gone on a Cunard holiday?

Robinson gone cruise? oh! New man Friday? :coat:
