I think there is a tendency to think that once something is mentioned somewhere then everyone notices that it has been mentioned, files it away in their memory and then effortlessly recalls it on a regular basis. My extensive experience of communicating information to people tells me that in many cases you have to tell people something over and over again, via as many channels as possible, if you want them to take notice and respond.
In this thread people have given examples of places where this fixture has been advertised, but it is only once in each place (website, Herald, programme). There's no repetition of the information on each platform, so no reinforcement of the message.
However, the danger of constant repetition of a message is that people get bored/annoyed with it, switch off and deliberately ignore it altogether. So there is a difficult balance to be struck.
