Bit surprising that Old Trafford isn't on the list.
Sure I’ve seen the reason Old Trafford isn’t on the list because it’s a bit outdated

The idea of unnecessarily going through qualifying sounds horrifically arrogant to me, no other country has ever done this, why would we force it on ourselves? Yes I know we will in all likelihood win the group comfortably but why take the risk? I get the argument that they want 'competitive games' but would we learn more by playing teams like San Marino/Moldova twice each or maybe teams like Brazil/Argentina/top European or Asian teams in friendlies?Been confirmed that the UK and Ireland will host it, also The FA wants us (England) to go through the qualifying route

Manchester United actually asked to be taken off the list for consideration due to the work that would be needed to bring Old Trafford up to scratch and uncertainty about whether it would be completed in time.Sure I’ve seen the reason Old Trafford isn’t on the list because it’s a bit outdated
