Conceding 5 at home

After laughing at the Mancs today, is my memory correct in thinking that we once conceded 5 in our first two home games of the season? Early/mid 90’s. Sure this was the same season that I left a game before the final whistle for the only time at Griffin Park in sheer disgust.

Yep Brentford and Bradford first two home games. 1-5 each.

Even that Northern numpty Swan scored (hell of a header to be fair).

I think if my memory isn't going we went one nil up in the first game then let in 5. In the second game we let in 5 then scored a consolation goal

Mr Turing is right, we conceded 10 successive goals in 2 games At Home Park. That's from a team tipped for promotion with a high profile manager.

Our attendances wre rubbish back them as well. Only 6k for the Brentford game on a Saturday!

remember those games, it was incredible how such a good team fell apart so quickly

Pretty sure it was Huddersfield Town, and a few of that lot ended up at Argyle under Warnock.

A 0-3 as I recall, was a classy hat-trick from Booth to be fair.

This shows how fragile football is at this level and why you have to embrace every success when it comes along, we had looked so good the previous season and it was hard to believe we ended the next season falling into the bottom level for the first time in our history.
