No successful team ever accepted mediocrity, I just want Argyle to be the best they can be.

We won't get anywhere accepting poor performances as an acceptable standard.

Yes a win is great, but we should aim much higher than this.

It wasn’t a poor performance though.

We couldn’t break them down and/or finish our chances, but we eventually did.

That’s a football match.

It was a win and we should have scored more.

Some issues remain:
We are light of a quality right back
Ness still isn't 100% but still better than the alternative
Carey put in a much better performance - was it because he's not up to Div1?
Ladapo can't finish 1v1
The replacements at centre back and centre mid aren't up to it.
Why are Wylde and Ainsworth still here?

Knibbsworth, not sure if your comment was aimed at me but I cannot recall ever saying this team was the worst I have seen in my life. Obviously I have been critical because I am a life long supporter who wants the best for Argyle. If you want to accept mediocrity that is your choice.

Mark P, Riley could still be a decent right back. I seem to recall that he had a traumatic family situation in the close season and it may have taken him a while to settle.
I agree that Ness’s fitness is a concern and, hopefully, Sarcevic will stay fit.
Carey was good in League 1 last season.
Ladapo has the pace but certainly needs to work on 1 v 1’s.
Canavan is now looking quite comfortable but we are still missing Bradley.
I assume that Wylde and Ainsworth are still here because they were, probably mistakenly, given 2 year contracts and nobody wanted them on loan before the deadline.

I wonder how many of you were calling for Adams's head a couple of weeks ago?

I don't rate us as a team, don't get me wrong I'd love survival and a fresh start next season.

Anything but the dreaded drop.
13 posts from you on this thread.
Are you on a wind up mission?
No, I’ve never called for Adams’s head.

It's a forum, and I'm simply responding.

Isn't that the point?

We dominated the game, put Stevenage under a lot of pressure and eventually made it tell.

I think you need to cheer up a bit, several League 1 sides above us in the League failed to beat League 2 opponents, some failed to even beat conference opponents.

I don't care about them, I care about Argyle, and we need to raise the bar if we are going to survive.

We've won 3 of our last 4, quite comfortably as well, I get the feeling your 'bar' is just unrealistic or doesn't actually exist.
