Back on the moon

Another reason for the early cancellation of Apollo that I remember hearing at the time was that the American public had simply got bored with it all. Watching grainy black and white footage of a man bouncing around on the Moon on live TV (again!) as you make the breakfast waffles - big deal.

There was also the matter of a minor skirmish down in South East Asia that many politicians were far keener to fund.

There are those that say we didn't.

I remember going to Plymouth Museum and seeing a piece of rock in a glass case, with a card that said it was moon rock, so it must be true.

That is the coolest thing I've read all day!

I really really hope we as humans don't make the earth uninhabitable. Yes colonising Mars and the Moon sounds fun. But we already have an inhabitable planet. Please let's not wreck it.
