Half-Time! Excellent first half from Argyle, despite a controversial penalty decision Plenty of time in the second half, to follow shortly! 0-1

Argyle are playing some nice stuff. Could have had a couple from few good chances.

Great effort from the youngsters. Had three good chances before Brighton scored with a dubious penalty. Ifill, the game’s best player made it 2-0 but Argyle kept pressing, hit the bar and the scored with a well worked corner routine with a looping header from Pursall. So hard did Argyle press three Brighton players went down with cramp.

Some top performances but for me Forkuo at RCB was resolute and not afraid to step forward. Shame the deserved equaliser didn’t come but Brighton certainly knew they had been in a game.

I enjoyed tonight’s game but do feel frustrated that we didn’t win. Issaka had two chances that really should have been taken, shooting straight at the keeper when one on one and dragging a shot wide.

Their penalty seemed soft but it was one of those where nowadays they are often given. Their second goal was well taken, fairly similar to Wigan’s winner on Saturday. Their only other shot scraped the bar, otherwise Brighton didn’t offer anything going forward.

I honestly didn’t think there was any difference between the two teams so fair play to us. Just a shame that Pursall’s goal came too late!

Agree about Forkuo, looks like a good prospect but Oscar Halls really impressed at RWB, plays exactly like Edwards in the first team...... Give him 18 months and could be a ready made replacement

Can’t comment on the game but find the tone of the coverage a bit defeatist.

it’s not that long ago we were in a higher division than Brighton and their youth team has a smaller catchment area to draw upon than we do.

as a premier league club their young players will have better training facilities and play against better opposition, but even so… is it really such an achievement to ‘only’ lose to them by one goal at home?
