Argyle break the deadlock in the 32nd minute after an excellent move. Paul Anderson drives forward across the pitch before playing the ball outside to Alex Battle. His first-time cross picks out Dan Rooney perfectly and he slots home with a very composed finish. The midfielder, who is on loan to National League South side Truro City at the moment, is having a good game.

Luton had not posed much of a threat in the second half but they have equalised in the 85th minute. Josh Neufville got to the by-line and his cut back was fired into the net by midfielder Hong Wan. Mike Cooper had no chance of saving it.

Totally agree. Ok had more possession (really sloppy at times), dominated territorially, but didn't really work the young back 4 which is disappointing.

Cooper. Bystander mainly.
Moore & Smith-Brown really sloppy, offered nothing going forward.
Peck & Jones had it easy against one young forward.
Rooney nice finish, more involved late 2nd half when Luton tired.
Battle decent assist and involved much more than Anderson, but the latter will be on the bench Saturday.
Threlkald. Very sloppy, expected so much more.
Purrington. Better 2nd half, did ok.
Fletcher. Good in the air 1st half. Will be disappointed not to have had more opportunities, also in tight area's in the box he had ball taken off him too easy.
Anderson. Not for me. Not as good as our young pro's.

A pleasant afternoon in the sunshine, watching an entertaining match. Argyle had more of the possession, but like the first team play some neat football at times but lack penetration once they got near the penalty area. We did hit the post with a downward header in the first half that rebounded to the keeper. Overall the keepers were spectators for most of the game as the sides cancelled each other out. Oscar did have a goal bound header touched over the bar by a defenders head in the second half.
