It's looking more and more that those two dropped points late against Coventry could be crucial.
If we had won that we would be in 15th place.

That said, there's been ifs, buts and maybes in most games this season, including today - if we had won today and against Coventry we'd be on 49 points and just about safe.
More galling than that, in my opinion, is the insipid non performance at Sheffield Wednesday where we meekly surrendered 1-0. Even a point there would have deprived them of 2 meaning that right now they'd be on 41 and we'd be on 46

I didn't see it as negatively as a lot of people. In particular I'm tired of reading that sides we play aren't very good - QPR are a form side away from home and a draw was always the most likely outcome. As previously we had a strong first 25 minutes then QPR had a good spell. Great work in goal by Cooper kept us in it when we could easily have gone 2 behind. Some good pressure late on but I thought the introduction of Waine and Bundu didn't add much apart from fresh legs. Clearly there's still work to do to stay up and I believe we are capable but it is going to be close.

Trouble is sometimes you wonder where the goal is coming from. Other times you wonder how your going to prevent the opposition from scoring. In both boxes we have real issues. Something in a relegation threatened side that can be pinpointed.

Better than recent weeks, but for a 15-20 minute spell where we were abysmal. We really don't look good enough though. For fellow strugglers I thought they looked streets ahead of us. First game I've enjoyed for a while, but this feels to me like a relegation side. Such a shame as it never felt like this could happen until the last couple of months.

I’ll definitely take the point given the performance but we’re going to need to be a lot better than that over the next four games if we want to stay at this level.

Dan Scarr was the main reason we didn’t lose. He bailed out those alongside him and in front of him time and time again.

Cooper - 6
Edwards - 6
Phillips - 3
Scarr - 8
Gibson - 5
Mumba - 6
Randell - 5
Houghton - 5
Whittaker - 5
Hardie - 4
Wright - 5

Bundu - 6
Waine - 5
Sorinola - 4
Forshaw - 7
Pleguezuelo - N/A
I would say this is a fair assessment, although I thought Mumba was probably a 7 because he was one of our main threats.

I thought QPR were excellent defensively. They were compact and solid but they knew how to transition to attack in the right moments. Definitely of the better sides to visit HP this season.
i agree they were very quick on the break but we gave their centre half lots of free headers,he was very slow.

We do not know how much of a toll the 87 day Foster effect has taken on the players mentally & physically
In the 2 games we have played since he left we have picked up 4 points
The players can't just switch it back on to how we played prior to the 87 day tenure
It is a long brutal season but we are still battling & still above the dotted line
Now is not the time for pretty, flash football
Now is the time for blood, snotters, grind
These boys keep going & leave everything on the pitch
I don't care how we score a goal - so long as the ball goes into the back of the opponents goal
We have 4 Cup Finals left & our boys will be fired up for the fight

I understand that, but Wright is getting more chances which to me aren’t warranted.

You’re calling for tried and tested, well that isn’t Bundu who your last post called for, and is Wright who hasn’t delivered.
Bundu is more tried and tested than Devine, who has offered nothing since being here

QPR deployed an extremely high press. If other teams do that we need to bypass the press by going long because when it does reach our midfield, the likes of Houghton and Randell (apart from one amazing run at the absolute end of the game) are not going to carry the ball forwards and rapidly transition us into attack.
Unfortunately the one time we did put a ball over the heads of QPR's centre halves, a visibly depleted Hardie could not outpace them.
Bundu must start the next game.. and possibly the rest of the season, with Hardie the player to come on. Bundu will, one assumes, be fresh and full of running. We need to take any miniscule opportunity to turn Leicester's centre halves who normally expect a cushy afternoon stroking the ball to one another and driving up their pass completion ratio... For me this means long raking passes from defence towards their corner flags and let Bundu have a few foot races with them.

Omg how long we are going to be blaming IF? Even now he's gone it's his fault apparently. The team simply are not good enough because we didn't invest on January and have only had one recognised striker all season.

Because there's no reason we wouldn't play at Easter. Good Friday and Easter Monday are bank holidays, but football is played on bank holidays.
Fair point, but bank holidays were invented many years after the religious events. If a Christian wished to pray in the middle of a match, would the referee stop the game?

I agree with the general problem BG, but there is no doubt we have a confidence issue as a consequence of the Foster tenure. It’s also difficult to switch back up again in terms of playing style. Yes, we can’t keep blaming Foster but I think the legacy of that period is still hurting us.
