Whatever my personal views about Ian Foster may or may not be. I don't think your many, repetetive observations in this thread have contributed anything positive for the Club, manager and players, as we battle to stay in the Championship.
I don't think the club, players or fans will careless what my repetitive opinion is and will have no bearing on where we finish

From the Herald Re. the criticism -

Is there anyone not embarrassed by this ?

"It does hurt, it's not nice. I say this, and I don't mean anybody to feel sorry for me - that's not what I'm trying to get across - but this is a family football club, and my family had to leave the ground during the Preston game, which isn't nice for them. It's not nice for me"

I thought the piece in the Herald was honest and a recognition of the situation we're in along with acknowledgement of supporters concerns. I know people like to selectively quote every interview he gives or see the downside of everything he says and to level the accusations of him being aloof and distant from the support but I don't think that's true at all. I also suspect, like a lot of people on social media these days, they pass comments on stuff they haven't actually read or just looked for the bits that suited what they wanted to say in the first place.

He's definitely a serious person and maybe lacks the bubbly cosiness some desire, but everybody is different.

Are you embarrassed by IF, or embarrassed by the supporters?

You're talking like this site isn't social media.
One thing X doesn't have is 233 pages of Foster criticism to trawl through. It tends to make the same points, much more succinctly.

There's so much at stake, so much that the consequences of relegation and missing out on a considerable pot of gold is frightening. I honestly thought in November Argyle would be on the fringes of a top 10 finish. The club had a massive amount of momentum but 2 key parts of the machine departed and so far the replacements require considerable amount improvement. I really do hope that we aren't resetting the sat nav for places like Mansfield, Crewe etc. The silence from HP is a strange one.

Agreed. Though Devine could be that player, Gyabi to a lesser extent.
I think Gyabi is the better runner with the ball tho and could drive through defences. Devine is more an unlocker of defences by a cute pass type rather than beating a man himself.

Also having Gyabi further
Ah, but you're asking the impossible there Greenpilled. Some people are now so entrenched in their view of Ian Foster that there's no prospect of them keeping an open mind or acknowledging any mitigating factors.

I want to give Foster a chance because I believe he walked into an unenviable situation and deserves time to have a good go at the job. That said, I'm also willing to acknowledge that home matches under him have been incredibly drab and disappointing. Also that he tried to change too much too soon and risked upsetting the apple cart.

Try to get some of the anti-Foster brigade to acknowledge some of the improvements that have been made under him, on the other hand, or admit that he didn't exactly walk into an ideal situation? Forget it because FOSTER BAD.

It's the Donald Trump/Brexit effect and indicative of the polarised, blinkered world we live in today.

Thatโ€™s my view as well. Could m be quite short sighted imo as Foster could well end being a top quality manager-head coach.

The starting 11 that hammered 6 past Norwich contained 10 of our current squad. Try those 10 for a start

Thatโ€™s an outlier. Better to take the mean which actually shows those same players contributing to us being a fairly below average championship team.

I have watched every second of every press conference over that last 2 seasons but I couldn't get through today's. Foster is so uninspiring, so dull, so boring. How can that man inspire players, send them out with a clear message, a one line mission. I don't believe that he has it in him. Not his fault but he hasn't got what it takes, in my opinion.
So you prefer the b.llsh.t served up by Fosterโ€™s predecessors ?

? This site does come under that banner though doesn't it ?

X does have limited text for most though which is probably a good thing for some, but swearing a lot can get you more 'likes' it seems.

Interesting he mentions we're a family football club but from a conversation I had earlier hes apparently fell out with staff for organising events that he's refused to go to as he's only here for football and just didn't turn up to another causing a lot of embarrassment for the club. On top of stopping the players meeting and before the game doesn't look like he's that bothered with the family side of things.
