Half a team??? I thought we had 4 loan players returned to their clubs. Sorry I have thought over the past 60 years that there were 11 players in a team. Silly me.
Yes but its arguably the quality of players we have lost. Virtually the spine of the team

16 days left in the window to find replacements
We will probably have arrivals this week that the boys will welcome & they will prepare for the game on Saturday
The recruitment team are not standing still - there is stuff going on in the background that we are probably not even aware of
What is to say the next crop of loanees are better than the ones that have been recalled

Kaine was never our player to begin with
Aston Villa chose what they do with their player
We move on & look to acquire the next player

I don’t really understand why Dewsnip felt the need to fib about KKH being recalled to play for Villa, unless he was misled I suppose.

I think Dewsnip was making a point of telling us that is what Villa have told us. I recon he probably felt that Villa weren’t being honest with him. He obviously doesn’t have any input into any of Villa’s decisions.

Well if he wasn’t lying, he’s had his pants pulled down by Wolves and now Villa. Not sure which of those is better.
Not as if what Villa or Wolves said made any difference to the decisions. Those clubs had decided to bring the players back and it was going to happen whatever. If they came up with mendacious explanations, that's on them. And a bit odd seeing as they didn't have to explain anything.
'Pants pulled down' is nonsense in this case. We pulled Swansea's pants down getting Whittaker for £1m

I really couldn’t give a toss if KKH ended up at Stoke and I hope he does because he’s not a key player and we can do better than him.

I don’t care if Villa wasn’t honest when speaking to ND either. He’s not our player - we move forward.

I think SS would love to have MW but he’s our player and they couldn’t afford him and this is what makes me smile 😃

I’ve seen Sunderland fans on Twitter today talking about signing Whittaker, delusions of grandeur, not a hope in hell they could afford him.

Now being reported (Twitter admittedly) that he is going to be sold in this window. Which to be honest we already knew.

Dewsnip may have have been told that he was going to be involved in the first team squad, but I think we all knew this wasn't the case, and was quite disingenuous

Given they were quite open about Finn Azaz being recalled to be sold, it's baffling why anyone at Villa would feel the need to try hoodwinking anyone at Argyle, so can it be ruled out that there are legitimately a bit short of numbers?
