“He will bring pace, energy and directness to our left hand side”

Well that clears that up. His main purpose isn’t here to play in the front two but to give us width.

He’ll play wingback or upfront. He’s similar to Garrick buy on the left side and a little more direct

"A versatile player, who can play at wing back, as a winger or through the middle, Mickel will add competition to those areas of the squad and carries a big threat going forward." - Sounds like an improved version of Byron Moore who played with distinction in his first season at least.

Versatile players acquired - perhaps a new versatile system. Many teams have morphed into a 3-4-3 from a 3-5-2. I wonder if we'll see a diamond four at home, with perhaps Danny given more freedom at the top and two more flat defensive away (a revolving combination of Butcher, Houghton and Randell depending on the physicality of the opposition)

Really silly question, but is he left footed? Or right footed and plays on the left.

I wish the guy well at Argyle. At least he will not need to wear tights to stay warm on a cold Weds January evening like playing at Hamilton or Rotherham. He appears capable of putting real speed on the play down the left flank.

"A versatile player, who can play at wing back, as a winger or through the middle, Mickel will add competition to those areas of the squad and carries a big threat going forward." Based on this description it would appear that Garrick will not be returning to HP, or perhaps Schumacher wants a right-footed and left-footed option.
