Condemn, punish and educate and at the same time police and protect effectively. Bit like weeds in the garden - constant vigilance and regular treatment.
It’s the go to song for English football hooligan pondlife. Of course it’s meaningless and they’d poo their pants if they actually came across someone from the IRA but anyway
So it's effectively like messing around when the teacher leaves the classroom. In that they need constant supervision.
I previously described these people of having the mental age of a 10 year old, but now I feel like even that is too generous...
"It'll never go away - fact" - your certainty on this statement is impressive. I don't know if it will or not, but wouldn't it be wonderful if we could, just maybe, educate these morons to not behave like petulant toddlers when nasty Wigan Athletic celebrate scoring a goal?i
Really? Loyal1970 with an England flag doesn't get the link between football hooligans carrying out assaults and the "no surrender" song"? C'mon. You have lost me what has the IRA got to do with a scuffle against Wigan
I recall that our ‘lads’ were a little outclassed on that occasion.Really? Loyal1970 with an England flag doesn't get the link between football hooligans carrying out assaults and the "no surrender" song"? C'mon.
I was in Marseille for England v Russia, the hooligan's "finest" hour, and "no surrender" was the hooligan's anthem. And there were George Cross flags with EFL teams names on them all around the stadium. Hooliganism and "no surrender" are synonymous and it's not just the IRA aspect, it's the I'm a tough guy and will never surrender message.
Having a St George cross flag with an EFL team name on it does not make you a hooligan. FFS.Really? Loyal1970 with an England flag doesn't get the link between football hooligans carrying out assaults and the "no surrender" song"? C'mon.

What a weird response on this thread. Some real non hooligan football fans were seriously injured by Russian thugs, the very thing everyone on here everyone is calling out - yet you seem to revel in English people being 'outclassed' in thuggery.I recall that our ‘lads’ were a little outclassed on that occasion.
How many women have you come across that bring offensive weapons/cause thuggery at football matches?Equal rights for women - apart from at the turnstiles at Argyle where they should not be searched 🤪
I may have misunderstood but I got the feeling that old gunner liked a fight when younger from his previous posts. There are others on this thread who are less than critical of the actions of the small minority of bone heads. Even an administrator stating some of them are quite articulate. What a weird response on this thread. I did but I was rubbish at it!I may have misunderstood but I got the feeling that old gunner liked a fight when younger from his previous posts. I didn't say it did, don't misrepresent me. Though many of them were, I stood near a Scunthorpe fan with such a flag and a 11/12 year old son, both bare chested arms outstretched singing No Surrender with gusto and revelling in the fighting at the end of the game.Having a St George cross flag with an EFL team name on it does not make you a hooligan. FFS.
I cannot see how you can deduce that OG is revelling in that. What a weird response on this thread.
