New York Cosmos 3 Ottawa Fury 2

First 5 mins it was all Fury but the 1st goal was scored by the Cosmos after 8 mins the score remained 1-0 until the turning point in the 68th min. when Fury's Mason Trafford was sent off. Yet 2 mins later it was 1-1 when Fury's Tom Heinemann scored.
Fury's joy lasted a total of 1 minute when Cosmos's Cellerino put them back ahead 2-1, he then scored his 3rd in the 85th min. Fury kept attacking and were rewarded with a 2nd as Heinemann scored again, even though Fury kept trying the final wistle blew and Cosmos won 3-2

The Fury put up a very brave fight but on paper they should never have been on the same field as the Cosmos. It was not an even playing field, Raul's annual salary was more than the whole of the Fury's roster's salary. Thats what happens when you have mega rich owners.

What will happen to the Fury next year, well we know they will have a new coach/manager, how many of the players will be back, questions questions. The players report back beginning of February, we will see.

In Ottawa Fury news today Marc dos Santos Fury's coach joined Swope Park Rangers as it's coach he will also serve as an assistant on the Sporting Kansas City coaching staff under Manager Peter Vermes.

Marcel has been with the Fury for 2 years now and has played a grand total of 1 game, (the last match of this season) The reason he has only played one game is Romuald Peisar http://www.nasl.com/news/2015/11/10/ott ... love-award

Romuald has just signed a new 2 year contract so i dont see how much Debellis will play next year if he signs a new contract as i believe he is now a free agent.

My other team Ottawa Fury have been decimated since the end of the season, we have lost our coach/manager and 10 players have either been released or transferred, including the captain,leading scorer and leading playmaker.
We have 11 players on the roster, including 3 goalies and 2 players who have'nt actually been officially resigned for next season.
We have a new coach/manager and thats it.

Fury do have a youth academy that plays in a league in Quebec, but as far as i know there is nothing special coming out of it.

Also just learned another player has an out in his contract but he has to exercise it by midnight tonight,

Well we did get some good news this week the 2 players i said earlier that had'nt re-signed did, this is Julian De Guzman midfielder https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Julian_de_Guzman and also team captain of the Canadian National team and the most ever capped player for Canada and Mauro Eustaquio another midfielder who also plays for Canada U23 team
Also the Fury signed 3 new players today http://www.ottawafuryfc.com/news/2015/1 ... from-aztex 2 of which played for manager Paul Dalglish last year.
So we now have 14 players signed

Almost a month since my last update, and a lot of changes. The first was Paul Dalglish coming in as coach/manager, (yes he is related to Kenny Dalglish he is his son). Paul has been coaching/managing in the USA for a number of years.
We now have 18 players, 3 goalies, 6 defenders, 6 midfielders and 3 forwards. 7 new players have been signed, the latest is englishman James Bailey who last season was a team mate of Connor Hourihane at Barnsley, he left them and went to Indian club FC Pune City coached by David Platt.
The schedule came out yesterday and Fury's first game will be on April 3 a repeat of last years championship final against NY Cosmos, there will a 32 game schedule this year as 3 new teams have come into the league and 2 teams folded.
Pre-season training will start in February, all will be indoors as the Ottawa area will be covered in snow and ice, usually they will organise a few exhibition games in indoor facilities and play a few outdoor games in NY state at outdoor facilities in mid march, and then move their pre-season training down to Florida for the last 2 weeks before the opening game. Unfortunately this is not fair as the teams in Florida are already in training and in fact have already started playing exhibition games.
