Breaking my silly season sabatical to respond to this one.
T'resting, if true, it'd be a great signing. Seen him a few times over the last four years or so, looks every inch 'good L2/capable L1 standard'. Craig Brewster will know him well and likewise CB was very well respected by their squad. Therefore Simpson, his captain at one stage (?) may well want to hook up with him again.
This one therefore has some degree of plausibility.
Turned down a new contract last month...
