Heard on commentary of our game today how last week (?) the Phoenix Club Hereford FC game in the Southern League v Didcot was abandoned due to a crowd invasion and talk of Players being attacked.
Today they were away to Bideford and the Hereford Fans were, this time, confronted by the home fans at the final whistle. What is dissapointing if true, is that according the report in the link , the trouble makers were possibly Argyle 'fans'.
Dissapointing in that the name of our Club gets sullied in an unconnected event, and also in the confirmation / reminder that the darker side of Footballs following has indeed not gone away but found a new home away from the control we've become accustomed to on matchdays.
A quick youtube search will show similar events attatched / attracted to FC Unitedof Manchester.
