Love it. Imagine if he saw some of the comments on here – not exactly going to warm him to staying if he things the fans have written him off already.

It's been like that throughout Owen, far too quick to wave goodbye to a great player, far too quick to judge him by their money centred standards.

I will remain hopeful he stays here to help finish the job of taking us back to the championship until it is confirmed he has left us, not a moment before.

I would be gutted if he went to another league 1 club and especially if Cook got his hands on him!!! It will be purely down to wages and I can't blame him at his age. I don't think a championship club will be in for him because he doesn't have speed and his form dipped last season! Good player with good vision though. Hope he stays.
