Birmingham City part company with Gary Rowett

If I remember rightly they were one point off the play-offs when Rowett was sacked but now 18 away but significantly only 10 points above the drop zone. May yet prove to be a clanger of epic proportions

Unsurprisingly Zola has been a flop, no sympathy with the Birmingham board, sacking Rowett was madness.

Spot on Cobi. It is surprising how many Owners/Boards get the decision catastrophically wrong. I don't think he will make it to Easter. I think the Venkys at Blackburn made the best call - their attitude seems to be we don't care what happens so let's get Owen Coyle in to ensure there are no lingering doubts about relegation.
