Good luck to all those affected by the discovery of the unexploded WWII bomb in Keyham.

I hope the device will be safely detonated with no injury to disposal personnel, residents or damage to property.

(apologies if mentioned elsewhere)

Hopefully the evacuation don’t last too much longer, but hopefully it’s safely detonated with not too much impact to houses nearby

Hope they have better luck dealing with this one than the one in Exeter a few years ago. That one caused more damage than expected when it was finally detonated

Think that’s why they are taking their time on working on a plan for this one

Update from PCC. After consideration the disposal team have decided to remove the bomb, take it to the Torpoint Ferry slipway, and take it out beyond the Breakwater. Everyone who lives within 300meters of the route from St Michael's Avenue to the sliproad has to be evacuated: removal of the bomb is at 2pm, and everyone should be able to return home by 5pm. That is as long as it doesn't go 'boom' en route...

Certainly taken their time with this one, bit of a change from the normal washed up pyro on the beach. Hopefully it goes well n all are safe.. Certainly not a call out I'd like
