Did Paul Gallagher ever play as a striker for us? Midfielder surely. Fine player but our strikers that season were Fallon McLean Barnes and Mackie sometimes.

I must admit that I had always thought of Gallagher as a 'forward', although not necessarily a 'striker' in the modern sense of someone who does nothing else. Happy to stand corrected. I would however suggest that he had a striker's instinct and eye for a chance.
