A well deserved reality check for the soldiers of fortune and the Yankee circus last night. Saints were excellent and Finn Asaz was superb. Kiefer Moore in particular was well marshalled (as a prem squad player, there is only one reason he is plying his trade as L1 / Champ level!!). A good evening and tiny retribution for corrupting L1 last season... Oh and a stunning attendance for such a key match (around 10k I believe!)

I watched it too, from a Southampton hospital ward! Afterwards another patient I'm friendly with asked me: "Do you think Saints have a Championshio team or a PL team." Although that was an emphatic win last night, to my mind they will need to spend a lot of money if they go up." I sensed he would talk about Arsenal and he did. My response was that you can raise your game occasionally but not 38 times. And I added that the Arsenal XI last night v Sporting was stronger.

The ground was sold out. Currently it only has 3 sides as the ‘Yankee’’ owners are funding the building of a new stand behind the goal.

I believe they’re not funding it fully

Now playing in the Championship Big Boy play pen after buying their way out of the lower leagues & having no regard for the Leagues they have left behind
Long may it continue 😀

Had they gone up again this season it would make a mockery of the EFL given what has fuelled it. I think everyone outside of Wrexham and the ewe ess ay wants them to have their wings clipped and put back in their box. At least a little. I hope their play off hopes wither. A bit more hard work and dues to be paid yet

I really don't get this having a go at Wrexham for their financial backing. Isn't that what so many have been yearning to get for Argyle.? I seem to remember a general excitement when it was reported that the Gareth Bale consortium was interested in Argyle in the summer. (The poll was won by those who "really wanted this to happen."

Pure jealousy.
