When this circus first started, I was actually behind the project. Wrexham shouldn't have really found themselves so far down the triangle but unfortunately, that fairytale "rescue" has gone far too far for me. I actually think that their actions in the EFL have done more damage single handedly than anything that's come before.

It'll be interesting when and if the financial people in the game shoot this down in flames and how far they will fall playing by the same rules as everyone else. The model of "let's throw everything as well as the kitchen sink" at promotion is seriously hurting every club around them

Let's be honest, Wrexham and Birmingham last season have set a precedence in L1 that is going to really hurt all the teams left behind. We are seeing it ourselves with the vast rift between when we went up a couple of years ago to now and I think that has forced the hand of all the clubs around us. Problem is, unless something is done about it, then I can't see it going back. Not only will that damage L1, but it'll mean the financial gulf between L1 and L2 is going to mean teams coming up are going to really struggle

Wrexham are guilty of financial manipulation & financial streamrolling all their opponents in League 1 & League 2

They did not care a jot because the EFL were powerless to stop them due to their rules & regulations in the lower leagues

Planet Hollywood knew exactly what they were doing - infact you could say they were devious as they knew full well in League 2 the other 23 clubs did not have the financial means to compete with them

In League 1 they were trying to out do Birmingham who was their financial nemesis , anything Birmingham can do we can do better

Wrexham & Birmingham now guilty of skewing League 1 trading & they are not even in League 1

Hope Wrexham & Birmingham implode in the Championship because the gap between League 1 & the Championship maybe a bridge to far for Clubs that want to live within their means

Looking to spend another £8.5 million on a Man City Player. Spending more than some Premier League clubs. Insane

TBF that's just an overly inflated value for no other reason than Doyle plays for Citeh. He's spent his entire City career out on loan.

But it’s the “circus” that gives them their income. What precisely is it you object to?
There is nothing organic about Wrexham’s rise and it’s built on celebrity with Hollywood owners and celebrity wannabe players.
Mullin dropping 3-4 leagues below his standard to play in non-league didn’t come cheap. Getting Foster in as GK was all about raising his profile as a blogger. Having a stadium sponsored by a company not even operating in the UK.
Each promotion they bought came at the price of a more deserving club like Notts County as an instance.
To go from non-league to paying up to £10m for players is obscene in today’s current climate and again, there is nothing organic in their growth.
Even now, plugging the plucky underdog when they have a billionaire owner and it’s just Ryan Reynolds and the other one as the front face.
They bought Hardie early and then went on to upgrade on Hardie 2-3-4 times in just this window.
When will we see Hardie playing proper football again?

Yep, Leeds done the same with Gyabi. As soon as Citeh are mentioned. Everyone thinks they're a mega start. Joke.

If you’re a bit bored or got 10mims to spare it’s good to have a read through Wrexhams reaction thread, match day thread was fun also once Wednesday got back into it. Kinda shows how fans at all clubs can lose it when things don’t quite go as expected.

Haven't read that, but boos all round the stadium at the final whistle yesterday. They have forgotten where they've come from and now expect to win all their games in the championship.
What a shame Wednesday didn't score with tjair last kick of the game

I don’t know why but I think Phil Parkinson and Russell Martin both get sacked before Christmas. Martin will then end up at Wrexham.
