I never put much credence in these introduction videos on Argyle TV because it’s a safe, sterile, interview where they trot out the usual boring cliches but I genuinely thought this one seemed more honest, more genuine.

I might be getting old but a player who says “working hard and giving everything for the shirt” means more to me than than the stereotypical I score goals reaction you normally get.

Through an enormousIy frustrating mistake ( assumed the season started later ) I’m stranded in the Canary Islands with my Mrs and kids and will miss the City game ( might just make it back for Stockport) but I’m genuinely happy with this signing.

Doubt if anyone cared about the League Cup season opener - until we drew Exeter!
So perfectly reasonable mistake to make (unless you booked after the draw was made, in which case it becomes unforgivable) :)

Just a point if I may. Beyton Green is in the top three to the Good Deeds Fund.

Can you please stop having at go at posters on here mate, or else you will lose the right to post!

Hope that's clear and concise!

It would help if you get your head around someone having a sense of humour.

On paper he’s scored 50 goals in the last 3 seasons. Sounds alright to me.

Sounds good to me too.

I may have missed it amongst the plethora of posts but why were Mansfield happy to let a decent player like Evans go to a rival? Was the money too good to turn down?

That final para is challenging for him.

Booked in February by the Mrs.

Didn’t even realise the cup was our first game.
Absolutely fuming when I saw the draw, and I normally hate the derby games but their there to be smashed this year.

I saw on Mansfield Chad that they offered him an extension to his contract, with only year remaining. He wasn’t going to sign as he wanted to join Argyle and after some time through the negotiation process, reluctantly agreed to sell to us.

Saw a comment somewhere that he wanted a new challenge. Sounded a bit like he wanted to play striker and they were playing him down the left all the time, and he was fed up with it.

Absolutely

I don’t blame Mansfield, better to have whatever transfer fee it is as I doubt it’s £400k upfront to re invest than an unhappy player with only a year left in his contract.

Like others I saw Will as a wide left option especially if we play 4 3 3 but if Tom, Derek and see him as leading the line as a number 9 then fair play, go smash it.

Wellcome to Argyle young man (sad to say all players are young men to me nowadays)

We have heard a lot over the past few seasons about the need to “think smarter” to maximise our budget and gain an edge on our opponents. Examples of it in practice are limited. However, Curtis, Hartridge, White, and the permanent signing of Mitchell are examples of this being done by Derek Adams. I think that signing Evans as a centre forward may be the latest example.

You think too much Rochdale.

Beyton's being a prat again, I know him reasonably well, he can afford it easily trust me.

A bit of advice, try to pay no attention to people's "reactions" (laughies etc), it's NOT that important.

As it happens ATV is a brilliant service and worth every single penny in my opinion, I'm an avid watcher of all of the press conferences, players signings etc. I do believe that the terrible breakfast show has been binned, which is a big plus.
I've never used Argyle TV and have never been inclined to buy don't know much about it

I wonder if the club could run a free week at the start of the start of the season as I am sure if it's good it would get more subscriptions maybe one for the fans forum which I know is after the season starts but still an idea to increase revenue a little
