Good point. Collectively, they are henerally not as good as National League. Individually, there may be a few that can play at L1 level. Only a handful could hold down a place in the Championship.

If Evan’s signs , it’s reasonable to think that between him, Curtis and Baidoo (when back from injury) that they could get 7-10 goals each. 21 -30 goals from your attacking wide players would be a real boost to our forward line
I've been doing a fair bit of digging and I'm actually starting to like this potential transfer of Evans more than my initial view of disappointment (even tho I think £400k is still a lot for the age of player).
Can see him being a good fit for us.
No, he's a 10, although Cleverley was playing him as an 11 with the right to come inside into a 10 position going forward.He got injured tho and will be out for 'months'

I watched Will Evans a lot when he was at Newport County. They converted him from wingback to wide forward to fill a gap in the squad. Hard-working player who is incredibly good at finding space in the box and also capable of long-range goals.
You’re getting a complete player who only turned pro at about 23, having been a farmer and part-time player before that. He’s capable of playing higher than Lge1. Don’t despair if you see him ‘go missing during games’ as he usually comes to life and scores in games when he looks like he’s not involved.

Stags fan here. Thought I'd just give you some info on Will, as he seems to be heading your way. He's quick, versatile, hard-working and never gets injured. He has a knack of being in the right place and reacting quickly, as well as scoring in the biggest games (as he did against Arsenal and Chesterfield last season). He can play as a lone striker or wide in a 3, but also as a LWB. His tackling is decent and his pressing is very good.
The negatives are that he doesn't have great football IQ, so he often misunderstands the movement of teammates and a move will break down, or he'll play the wrong pass. He also misses a lot of sitters, but given that he's often in the right place, he gets a lot of chances. Given a full season, he'll score 10 goals for you and be an important team player with lots to offer when pressing high or as a front line chaser in a low block. I'd play him as the last forward, given that his awareness lets him down in deep positions, but he's a good signing for this level.
I'm sad to see him leave, as he gave his all and has a great attitude, but £400k for a player his age and with his stats is top business by us. I wish him and you all the best for the season.
