Rooney has been dealt a difficult hand by the board and by injuries - but I’d still at least expect the team to play as if they’ve trained together before, to play with a bit of pride, to look semi-competent. I’ve backed him, I’ve defended him, but now I’m not sure.

Already pointed out elsewhere, struggling teams always have players who are injured. If the team was on a good run and near the top I suspect we'd have less players injured.

Im in two minds …we’ve got a squad that’s bottom 3 in quality and we’re missing 5 or 6 of our best players ..would we be this bad without the injuries? .is there a manager out there who would be prepared to join us and could do better with these players ? . Could I , at the age of 50 beat victor Palsson in a sprint race? ..so many questions I don’t know the answer to
