Just think that the QM2 is only the 48th largest cruise ship and the top 2 Icon of the Seas and Star of the Seas at 248,663 tons are just under 100,000 tons heavier than the QM2.

Size isn’t everything.

Icon is an ugly pig, whilst QM2 is a beautiful ship.

Saying that I reckon the kids love the IoS it must cater for most of what they want to do..

Seeing this reminded me - did you know that the Titanic's engines didn't need four funnels? The designer thought that it wouldn't look right with three funnels so he added a fourth one at the back which served as ventilation for internal rooms.
